So should they work NOW as they are been paid to NOW? yes. 

Simple, if you are paid to do a job you do it. You don’t ask for many years off and still expect to be paid either way then expect no one to mind

~~ Kate married a man who loved her. Cerise, Nowhere ~~ I don`t think it is that simple. I think he married her for the strong family unit Carole provides. When they were dating, Kate seemed to be stuck to William like gum on his shoe. He strayed and desperate Kate tolerated it. When they split in 2007, he partied like he was relieved to be free. Carole instinctively knew what William needed emotionally. So the Middletons absorbed him completely in the family unit. Kate AND Carole courted William.
